Broadcast Steel is a platform for the development and testing of new features and technologies under consideration for application on the Steel Spider website (www.steelspider.com) that we also run. Steel Spider provides four platforms that steel buyers and sellers use to easily and inexpensively meet, interact, exchange information and complete transactions:

1. Searchable Multi-Supplier Inventory
2. Send Email Offerings to Buyers
3. Send Email Inquiries to Steel Sellers
4. Search a Steel Company Facility Directory

This website was set-up initially to help the Pittsburgh Chapter of AWMI.

1. The Pittsburgh Chapter of AWMI maintains their database of contacts in a centralized location where multiple officers could access and update it. The contact list can be downloaded into an Excel file for backup.
2. The Pittsburgh Chapter automates the distribution of emails that the chapter sends to members and non-members. Broadcast Steel can be used to send meeting announcements and newsletter distributions to some or all of those people in the Contact List. An email can contain up to 4 attachments.
3. Broadcast Steel provides a location on the internet where people can register for the Pittsburgh Chapter events. Optionally, the sign-up sheet can display the names and company of those who have already registered. A Meeting Roster is maintained and can be exported so that meeting rosters and name tags can be printed.
